Fire & Commercial Boats are typically heavier duty boats built for more demanding conditions than the recreational user is likely to encounter.  As a result, Commercial & Fireboats are typically heavier than their recreational counterparts.  For example, our 12'8" Fireboat is built using 1.2mm PVC fabric.  Typically recreational 12'8" boats are 0.9mm.
